How Voltaren Gel works

Voltaren is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the action of the hormone, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which plays a role in the production of pain and inflammation. This action helps relieve inflammation and pain in the body, and can help reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Voltaren Gel is applied directly to the affected area, without the need for any long-term use. Voltaren Gel is applied to the skin at the lowest dose for maximum benefit.
